Anton Franciscus Pieck (Den Helder, Netherlands, April 19th 1895 - Overveen, Netherlands November 25th 1987) was a Dutch painter, artist and graphic artist.
Anton
Pieck was a drawing teacher from 1920 until 1960 in the Dutch city
of Bloemendaal. The drawings he made had his very own style, often
with a nostalgic and fairy-tale-like character; these show he had
great imagination and an eye for detail. His illustrations became
very popular. These characteristic drawings can still be found
regularly on birth announcement cards and calendars. |
