This friendly
couple skater has just
escaped from a winterly drawing and is having the time of their life.
The weather is fine for a nice trip on frozen waters. Anton Pieck was a drawing teacher from 1920 until 1960 in the Dutch city of Bloemendaal. The drawings he made had his very own style, often with a nostalgic and fairy-tale-like character; these show he had great imagination and an eye for detail. His illustrations became very popular. These characteristic drawings can still be found regularly on birth announcement cards and calendars. |
